Mr. Freeman, individually rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating procedure for ethical standards and legal ability, has written and lectured extensively.  Jim graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1969 and Vanderbilt School of Law in 1972.  He is married with three children and resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

Until 1988 he served as Secretary and was in charge of legal and risk management functions at Murray, Inc., a Brentwood-based consumer products manufacturer listed on the New York Stock Exchange.  In 1989 Jim formed his risk management consulting company, Litigation Management Specialists, Inc., and joined a small Nashville law firm which he helped develop into a firm of more than 35 attorneys with five offices in four Tennessee cities.

In early 2003, Jim left his position as a partner in that firm to found James A. Freeman & Associates, P.C., to better meet the needs of his clients.  He continues to work on the areas of products liability, government regulatory, products safety and corporate business matters.

Mr. Freeman has appeared as a speaker before numerous national organizations and has authoried numerous articles on topics ranging from products liability to arbitration/mediation; from risk management to litigation management; and from effective warnings to witness preparation.
